For this year's "dinner and dance", we will be taking the "dance" part very seriously - by making it a Scottish ceilidh!
A ceilidh is a high‑energy Scottish dance party where live folk music fills the room, everyone links arms, and you whirl, stomp, and laugh your way through pair and group dances. It’s loud, joyful, a bit chaotic in the best way, and absolutely designed for people who’ve never danced before. We have the fabulous DRAM ceilidh band coming along, who have an experienced “caller” explaining all the dance moves, and of course your local organising committee will set the example. After this, we will dance the evening away in a more "ECS traditional" style with a DJ playing all your favourites.
We are striving to minimise waste production during the conference.
To help us achieve a successful low-waste event,
we kindly encourage you to bring your own water bottle or cup.
