The European Cetacean Society is Europe's largest society in the field of marine mammal science. ECS provides its members with the opportunity to be part of an organisation at the cutting edge of science and the issues that affect marine mammals.
ECS membership offers many benefits including: representation in a renowned academic association, reduced conference fees and a right to vote on ECS matters.
Current membership prices are:
- Full Member - 60 €
- Student Member - 30 €
All membership fees enable one person for reduced conference fees at the ECS conferences. Membership is always paid for the current calendar year until 31.12.

To become a member, please first create an account to the ECS website via sign-up and set your ECS profile. Afterwards you can select "My Membership" from the menu on top of the screen.
Remember that membership stands for the natural year when you pay (i.e., from January onwards it will be the membership for the upcoming conference!). Please note that membership is not refundable. If you encounter any issue with registration (or membership, workshops, additional products), please first make sure that your ECS profile (My ECS > My profile) is filled. If you still encounter issues, please send a screenshot of the issue/error to the ECS treasurer. Please note that membership is not refundable.
ALL PRICES ARE IN EUROS. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the full amount in Euros is paid to the ECS bank account, including any conversion and other bank fees [especially for payments via bank transfers outside the Euro area].
