Membership

The European Cetacean Society is Europe's largest society in the field of marine mammal science. ECS provides its members with the opportunity to be part of an organisation at the cutting edge of science and the issues that affect marine mammals.

ECS membership offers many benefits including: representation in a renowned academic association, reduced conference fees and a right to vote on ECS matters.

Current membership prices (2019) are:

  • Institutional Member - 200 USD for a two year membership including access to marine mammal science for one year
  • Individual Member - 115 USD for a two year membership including access to marine mammal science for one year
  • Student Member - 50 USD for a two year membership including access to marine mammal science for one year (student card and authorization by supervisor required)
  • Individual Member (from a low income country) - 30 USD for a two year membership including access to marine mammal science for one year
  • Student Member (from a low income country) - 20 USD for a two year membership including access to marine mammal science for one year

All membership fees enable one person for reduced conference fees at the ECS conferences and in 2019 also provide for 1 year access to Marine Mammal Science as a benefit of the World Marine Mammal Science Conference organized jointly by the Society of Marine Mammalogy and the European Cetacean Society.
