Exhibitors

Several organizations will take the chance to showcase their work at the Teatro Micenhancing their visibility and fostering networking opportunities.

This year we are happy to receive the following stands for the ECS 2025:

  • Irish Whale and Dolphin Group

As part of the OCEAN Project, which focuses on enhancing operator awareness in navigation, to reduce the frequency of severe accidents including ship collision with marine mammals, the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group produced an OCEAN App using an innovative Progressive Web Application (PWA) platform. This app enables mariners to report sightings of potential ship collision risks in real time which are sent to the new European Navigational Hazard Infrastructure (ENHI). The ENHI combines sightings data with acoustic detections, predictive modelling and observations of whales from space, to display potential ship-whale collision risk back on the OCEAN App. This system of providing real-time and regularly updated information to mariners will help to minimise ship strikes with whales. During ECS the IWDG will explain the system and encourage attendees to download the App for evaluation and feedback.
